"Since graduating as a physiotherapist in 2014 I have specialised in private musculoskeletal healthcare while continuing to develop through further training. I started in orthopaedics on the ward and in clinic working extensively with joint replacements, arthroscopic surgeries and less common procedures of the upper and lower limbs. Over this period I attended several courses and gained an AACP acupuncture qualification. In recent years I have completed a Masters degree in Advanced Clinical Practice for Musculoskeletal Management. This involved learning advanced techniques in assessment and treatment for all areas of the body and a mentored clinical practice period with Ian Horsley (clinical director) for MACP membership. Over this period I worked in university sport managing athletes competing at national and international levels. I am now working full time at Back in Action having gained extensive experience in managing patients with acute pain problems and sports injuries through to chronic pain complaints. I love seeing clients achieve their rehabilitation goals, whether that be the stepping stones or the big ones. I like to ensure an understanding of the big picture and an agreed treatment plan where I can use a range of treatment methods to supplement rehab and exercise programmes."
Linda qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1997 working first in the NHS and then in private Practice. Before moving to Back in Action in 2020, she owned and managed her own successful practice called Orchard Physiotherapy Centre in Wrenthorpe, where she specialized in occupational rehabilitation and musculoskeletal injuries. The practice was built on the foundation of rehabilitation and held specialist classes for those with lower limb problems, and also clinical Pilates for spinal and general strength.
She has a post graduate certificate in the management of sport injuries and master’s level qualifications in muscle control (kinetic control) and sport injury screening and rehabilitation.
Linda has taught clinical Pilates for 8 years, to support her clients return to function, more recently these have been on line. These skills together with her master’s knowledge provide a range of rehabilitation options for clients.
She has undertaken several courses in biomechanics and coaching for runners and she offers running assessments to help those after injury, or to teach runners skills which potentially improves their performance.
Outside of work she enjoys running and supports the Wakefield Hospice 10ks runs. She loves gardening and walking her dog and has a love/hate relationship with golf.
Amy studied Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam where she qualified in 2021.
Most recently her work consisted of mainly community settings which included Intermediate care for adults. This was intensive rehab for patients who had just got home from hospital to get back on their feet quicker. She has worked in the mental health sector of the NHS in both a hospital and community based setting, which helped her to develop specialist skills in mental health to understand people and work with them to achieve goals. Stroke rehab was another sector which Amy found very rewarding and worked to develop neurological rehabilitation skills to assist patients in regaining function and ability for independence.
Amy also has a sports massage qualification that is put in to practice everyday at work as she believes a physiotherapist should be hands on.
Her previous work experience has consisted of MSK, Respiratory working on a cystic fibrosis ward and paediatrics within the NHS.
"l I pride myself on being honest and open with all my patients. I also pride myself on being a good listener as I want all patients to feel as comfortable as possible whilst in my care".

Since graduating as a physiotherapist in 2015, Will has developed experience working in a range of areas including NHS, private practice and in sport. In the more recent years, much of Wills time has been taken up working in full time elite sport. These experiences include working for Huddersfield Giants and Halifax in Rugby League and with Leeds United Football Club, where he was part of the team who helped to get Leeds back to the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa.
Now moving away from full time sport, Will is balancing his time here at Back In Action alongside supporting some of the countries athletic talent at the UK Sports Institute in Leeds and Sheffield.
His experiences and interests lie predominantly with the rehabilitation of muscle and joint injuries, both operative and non-operative, of the lower and upper limb. Other clinical interests include growth related injuries in younger athletes and overload related injuries and pathologies, both of which require an in depth and detailed management plan.
Will also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science, which he uses to assist with prescribing exercises for our clients. Through a combination of hands on treatment techniques and individualised rehabilitation programmes, Will aims to support people of all backgrounds in achieving their goals.
